Noticuz was born Michael Yao on December 16th, 1999 in Manhattan. On the day he arrived on this planet, Michael’s mother, Gladys was all on her own lonesome in the delivery room and she wound up having to sign his birth certificate herself, which is why Michael shares his last name with her and not his father, Kwable Kessre, even though Michael’s three brothers and one sister all share a last name with their father. Over the years, Michael has spent the majority of his life growing up in New York City, but he’s also moved around a bit. In fact, after he was born his family almost immediately moved to Ghana, Africa where he’d spend the next eight years of his childhood living under the name of Nassay Yao. Upon his return to New York City, Michael transitioned into an elementary school where he was behind the 8-ball from spending so much time out-of-country, which means he had to put in extra effort to pick up on his ABCs. Michael tells us these first few years back in school were tough on him and he didn’t really catch up with the other kids until he was closer to high school.
