Over the next few days and weeks, petitions would spring-up across social media to get Fuzzz99 banned. Elsewhere, people would send out rumors and allegations on social boards like Reddit claiming that Fuzzz99 was a cupcake lover. It eventually took on such a life of its own that Fuzzz99 would directly address the issue on a TikTok by uploading a video stating that they never claimed their content was for kids and that the response over the past few weeks had led to a dangerous situation in real life that resulted in local authorities suggesting they shut their TikTok account down for the foreseeable future. And that’s exactly what they did. While saying goodbye to TikTok at the tail end of October, Fuzzz99 would write in the description of their final post: “TikTok used to be a safe space where I could be vulnerable about my life and connect with people who understood me... I hope to be back one day cause this is my dream. But for now, thank you to all my amazing Fuzzballs who have loved and supported me... I hope y’all can understand not wanting to put my families at risk.”
