James Corden’s most recent controversy stems from a brief-ban he occurred from the storied New York City eatery known as Balthazar. Keith McNally, the owner of the establishment took to Instagram earlier this week to announce that he had “86’d” the comedian, banning him from returning after Corden mistreated his workers, not once, but twice. Referring to Corden as both a “tiny cretin of a man” and “the most abusive customer” in Balthazar’s history, McNally detailed two incidents in which Corden became uncordial and down-right mean. The first happened after Corden found a hair in his food and immediately demanded the manager not only comp his drinks but bring out a fresh-round free of charge as well. The second incident occurred a few weeks later when Corden sent back an omelet his wife had ordered because she had asked for no egg whites. When the dish returned, it accidentally had home fries on the side instead of a salad which sent Corden into a rage, screaming at the server: “You can’t do your job! You can’t do your job! Maybe I should go into the kitchen and cook the omelette myself!”
