Irish Culture - A Little Reflection [The Second in a Trilogy]

[Reflective & Contemplative Poem Collection] -
2nd Poem in a "Triogy for St. Patrick's Day 2023, reflecting on Ireland 'past' by Louiseiology". With St. Patrick’s Day feast upcoming, my thoughts were mulling on things ‘Irish’ and ‘cultural’, and on what that meant to me. I felt concern that we were experiencing a ‘cultural neuralgia’, as I termed it, forgetting much of what was central and precious.

We all have varying experiences of ‘nation’ and ‘homeland’, but the Irish share a common ‘Spirit’ which is strong and hardy, with a good sense of humour or ‘Irish Wit’ as we call it!

This poem skirts around some of the thoughts arising with regard to ‘changes’ and offers the notion that we may benefit from a ‘Cultural Re-Enhance’!

Wishing every one with Irish blood and ‘Spirit’, both at home and abroad, and all who ‘love’ the Irish and simply love ‘peace’ and ‘freedom’, a most uplifting St. Patrick’s Day - 17th March 2023.

This poem forms part of a collection that I refer to as 'Reflective & Contemplative’, which contains an ‘Analytical and Pensive blend of observational ditties!’ However, I will include it in the ‘Transitional Times’ 2022 playlist on ‘tube, as I feel all cultures around the world are being impacted negatively by ‘woke’ agendas.

The tunes being ‘played’ in the background are “Blarney Pilgrim” by two Uilleann pipers, followed by various renditions of “The Raggle Taggle Gypsy”, on tin-whistle, then with fiddles.
