In this episode of Wandering Wagners we traveled to Mississinewa Lake Campground which is inside of the Miami Recreation Area in Peru, Indiana
We happened to be the only ones camping here which is one of our favorite things about Winter camping is having campgrounds all to ourselves!
We explored the park and even HIKED the Lake! That was a new experience. We hiked all the way to the dam and back and really enjoyed it. Even though it was very windy and muddy!

Another new thing we saw here was they have a seasonal section of the campground! We've never seen that at a state park before. Have you? The sites were all concrete and full hook up with large sites!
We then hiked an actual trail, it was quite muddy because this Winter has not been very cold or snowy.
We also saw a tree of THORNS! Like it was a tree of death. I'd hate to get hit by that tree.
We then tried out their Archery range here and had a great time testing out my new bow for the first time! It was a lot of fun even in the wind, which made it interesting. I did pretty well but need more practice but that's to be expected!
We enjoyed a campfire, grilled some steaks and made some Dark Chocolate Coffee Cookies!
