St. Anthony of Carthage was born in North Africa in the late 15th century and sold as a slave when young. In Sicily, he became a shepherd and began to admire the Catholic faith of his masters, eventually converting. He adhered to Catholic principles with ardent zeal, feeding the poor with his flock's milk and cheese. After his master granted him freedom, he chose to continue working for him for a few years before seeking to devote himself more rigorously to work in the hospital in Noto caring for the sick. He entered religion and became a Third Order Franciscan, giving to the poor even from the alms he received, and redoubled his work in the hospitals. He became a contemplative and spent his remaining years in prayer and meditation as a desert hermit. His patience in the face of adversity, dedication to serving the needy, and profound humility raised general admiration for this African Saint. The Jesuits spread the devotion to St. Anthony of Categeró from Italy to Brazil, where he became a symbol of comfort for the slaves brought over from Africa.

Terra, FSSP, they prayed a divine mercy chaplet. When it ended, she breathed her last. Please keep their family in your prayers. She is survived by her Husband Ryan Grant and her 9 kids including a newborn.
