The Nile River played a crucial role in the development of this civilization, as it provided fertile land for agriculture and transportation. The pharaohs were the rulers of ancient Egypt, believed to be gods on earth. Some of the most famous pharaohs include Tutankhamun, Ramses II, and Cleopatra. The pyramids, one of the most iconic symbols of ancient Egypt, were built as tombs for the pharaohs.
