In 1997 I took on a new name that signified the shift in my conscious awareness. Or so it seemed. As was then, in the 'new age' movement, so many people were taking on the Sanskrit names, names of ascended masters (take your pick) or just completely fruity names that you could have picked out of a hippie catalogue! hahahaha!

I took on a name that I eventually discovered was from a past life, one where when it ended, I had become an asshole of historical proportions. I wrote about the end of that life time in the novel SANCTUM with Harmon Sueno, and looked to find redemption for my behaviour in that novel, and as art imitates life, I have done my best to continue that in my own life.

When someone asked me, 'why take on the name of an asshole?' The answer was, 'he wasn't always an asshole, he was corrupted.' I'm doing my best to make amends for my behaviour in that lifetime, and I feel as though I'm holding ground and moving forward...
