The Mandalorian - s3e3 - 'The Convert' - FlashReview - SPOILERS

SPOILERS AHEAD
Episode 3 of Season 3 of The Mandalorian, 'The Convert', begins in spectacular style with a terrific dogfight between Mando and Bo-Katan and a bunch of TIE Interceptors. Then the story screeches to a halt as we leave them behind and go to Coruscant to see what Dr Pershing is up to. He is part of a New Republic rehabilitation program, which seems intent on stripping the former Imperials of any individuality, housing them in spartan residential blocks and giving them alphanumeric identifiers, Pershing is L52. He befriends one of Moff Gideon's former officers, Elia Kane, G68, and he confides in her that he wishes to continue his cloning research for the good of the Republic. She helps him acquire some illicit Imperial equipment, but it is a betrayal and Pershing is arrested and sent for electronic conditioning and Kane sets the machine to dangerous levels.
Then we go back to Mando and Bo-Katan, who travel to the Armorer's covert after Bo's castle is destroyed by TIE bombers. They are welcomed as part of the group. Yay.
Not a terrible episode, just a bit boring after the great opening action. The Republic certainly does not get portrayed well with their apparent brainwashing techniques.
