美國自然醫學會(ANMA) 總裁Richard Drucker博士致詞
Hi everyone, I'm Dr. Richard Drucker. I'm the president of the American Naturopathic Medical Association, the ANMA, and the founder of Drucker Labs. I want to welcome you to the second Asia Pacific Bioenergy Medical Science International Summit and Forum. I'd like to take a few moments to also talk about the importance of joining and being part of an international community of naturopaths and why that is so important. When you're first starting out, it's easy to feel alone.
Being part of a naturopathic professional community can provide you with a sense of belonging.
I strongly encourage everyone to seek out and become involved with a naturopathic professional organization such as the American Naturopathic Medical Association. At grassroots local level, you can do certain things like taking professional classes, you can do self-study, put together a study group, but the most important thing is much can be gained in collaboration with your professional peers. You can even make it fun and social getting together with your peers.
On a national level, it's extremely important for your professional development as well as building a sense of community to come to the ANMA annual conference, make connections, collaborate, and stay connected with one another once back to your independent practices.
So any successful professional community is built on mentorship and if you have the benefit of years of experience behind you, think about being a mentor and those starting out, seek out a mentor, someone you can stay in contact with, discuss case strategies, go over your questions and concerns.
This relationship of mentor mentee can be invaluable. I highly recommend it. I was very unfortunate to have had the late Dr. Don Hayhurst as my mentor. He had a remarkable impact on my life no matter what time of day or night he always took my calls, encouraged me and walked me through things. So I just want to encourage everyone here today to understand the importance of the ANMA, the community, the collaboration, our time together, and how invaluable that is not just to us but to our practices and to helping and reaching as many people as we possibly can. Please come join us.
