God's Love Lights The Way!

There are times in our life when the way is very dark.
We have lost all hope to on new happiness to spark.
There are days when there’s no hope for ‘morrow,
as morning to night overflows with sorrow.

Let the love of God send the dark away!

There are dreams now cast to the blowing wind,
and plans of "what can be" we’ve had to rescind.
Our way is dark, and we’ve lost all rays of hope.
In these darkest moments we strive to cope.

Let the love of God light the way!

If you are in the midst of a dark day,
search for the right words to say.
Speak truth and send evil away.
Take time to kneel and pray.

Once assured you are okay,
cold of loneliness melts away.
Praise and homage you give,
as with thanksgiving you pray.

Let the love of God light your way,
Of every minute of every day!
God is the only way
to light the way,
to turn darkness into day!
