20230316-Insomnia? Migraines? Parental Duties? Let Nothing Break the Streak
Back in September (20220922) I was just sliding into a severe depressive spiral, which lasted almost until Christmas.
At the time I was talking about the difficulties in maintaining my 6 month exercise streak because of exhaustion, insomnia, migraines, parenting, etc.
Maintaining a streak is a powerful motivator to keep doing something. Being in the streak and seeing the results keeps you wanting more and the longer the streak, the more motivation to keep it going.
Breaking a streak is a powerful barrier to getting going again, and the longer the streak, the more powerful the demotivation from breaking it is to starting again.
Whatever it is you're doing, getting a streak going, and keeping a streak going, is a powerful tool in your success toolkit.
