Karen Sunderland took part in an online debate about Islam alongside a radio station. A year later when she stood as a councillor someone found the tweets and gave them to the press. She was suspended and did not run.

This was not the end of the story. A few years later she started a new job and someone sent her bosses the old tweets. She was sacked. She is now taking her former employer to court.
