AFTER building a sizable online following off the back of his rags-to-riches come-up, the YouTuber Omi In A Hellcat would find himself sentenced to more than five years in federal prison for being found guilty of running one of the most successful TV piracy schemes ever devised. But before all that would transpire, Omi was born Bill Omar Carrasquillo [CARE-AS-QUILL-OH] on September 6th, 1986 in North Philadelphia. In the past, Omar has often spoke at length about his troubling childhood, including his parents, neither of whom would prove to be a particularly good role model for their young son. For starters, his mom passed away from an overdose when he was still quite young and then there’s his father who he’s described as a kingpin who taught his son how to cook crack-cocaine at just twelve-years-old! This inevitably led to Omar bouncing around between the homes of different relatives before being handed over to a series of foster parents. One of these caretakers even had him committed to a mental health institution just so that they could access prescription narcotics that they could later sell on the streets. Eventually, Omar made his way back to his father once his dad had returned home from a bid in prison. While living with his pops as a teenager, Omar got into drug dealing himself and, much like his father, began spending too much time in and out of jail.
