MZTV 1171: Sin and Death Nevermore to be Feared

Our two greatest enemies are sin and death. The remarkable testimony of chapters 6-8 of Romans is that we need no longer fear these, as they are pre-defeated foes. The fangs have been pulled and the claws declawed.

Let's put this in practical terms: 1) You needn't worry any more about doing bad things that could potentially offend God because God is continually pleased with you, through Christ; 2) The death state (that is, the cessation of existence) has no power to keep you dead. None. Whatsoever. Jesus Christ took its worst arrows and exhausted it. Resurrection, therefore, is as guaranteed as tomorrow's sunrise.

So flip the middle finger to sin and death. That's what I do. They hate it when you do that because they hate it when you know the truth. They hope you won't tell anyone else.
