My husband and I stayed at an AirBnB in North Carolina's horse country and shopped in its furniture country. We traveled down to Palm Beach where we stayed at a fabulous Bed & Breakfast Inn, the Sabal Palm House, and were treated fabulously by owners and innkeepers Greg and Angela Brown. Highly recommend a stay there! We indulged in enjoying the finest of art, jewelry and antiques at the annual Palm Beach Art, Jewelry and Antique Show browsing paintings by Monet, Renoir, Norman Rockwell and even one by Winston Churchill! We biked on the Palm Beach Lake Trail exploring the sites of mansions, hedges, the Lake Worth Lagoon, the skyline of West Palm Beach and the Henry Flagler Museum. We strolled along on Worth Avenue, visited the famed Colony Hotel and dined with our dear friends from the Sabal Palm House, Greg and Angela. A long walk on the beach with the sites and sounds of the waves crashing made for more memories and a desire to never want to leave! Lunch at the Palm Beach Golf Club was a treat before we moved on to Georgia. Just outside of Savannah is the National Museum of the Mighty Eighth Air Force, which is the greatest air armada of all time. My husband, a retired Colonel in the USAF and Patriot, flew his entire military career (32 years) with the Eighth Air Force. It was a moving experience that produced feelings of sadness and horrors of war combined with a gratitude for ALL the patriots who lay their lives on the line for our freedoms. Thank you...
