The reason for this is that unless the individual plans on becoming an expert in areas such as PPC, SEO, and logistics, it makes more sense to leave the management of the Amazon account to professionals. This allows the individual to focus on the fun part of business, such as creating new products and finding the best and latest items, while the agency takes care of the nitty-gritty details, such as optimizing PPC, having a good IPI score, and speaking directly to the customer Avatar. John also mentions that Amazon is a heavily pay-to-play space and that PPC and SEO are important for ranking and having a low cost of acquisition.
