Before Skepta would become a pioneer of the UK grime music scene with hit songs like “Bad Boy”, “Rescue Me”, and “That’s Not Me”. Before Skepta would be linked to some of the most talented and beautiful British women in entertainment, with names like Naomi Campbell and Adele. Before Skepta would have 644K subscribers on YouTube, over 1 Million followers on Twitter, and over 2 Million followers on Instagram at the time of this recording. Once in a generation, someone like Skepta will rise up through the cracks of their professional field and blow the doors wide open, changing it forever. After quickly emerging in the early days of grime, Britain’s 140-beats-per-minute answer to American rap, Skepta helped popularize the genre in his native country then brought that same sound to the rest of the world, including the United States.
