Dear Pastor Bob: Recently a friend in my men’s group confessed that he had been cheating on his wife for a year and decided to leave her and his daughter for this new woman. We all felt pretty betrayed and confused on how to handle the matter. The majority of us decided to still keep in contact with this person, be his friend, and love him. Those who disagree say that we are condoning what he’s doing. Our friend who is leaving his wife also confessed that he no longer believes in God or the Bible. I want to love my friend and be there for him even though I know he’s making a terrible choice that’s hurting many people. Any advice on the situation would be greatly appreciated.
