Sabinal Wild Hog Festival Exposed

The 31st Annual Wild Hog Festival & Craft Fair is set to take place March 25th and 26th in Sabinal, TX (about an hour from San Antonio). This event is put on by the Sabinal Lions Club and involves a two-day hog bagging event for children and adults. Teams of two (children and adults) compete for the quickest hog bagging time to try to win a belt buckle.

Pigs are absolutely brutalized for this nonsense. They try to escape their abusers by jumping the fence and then they get injured and bloody. Anything goes at this event, there is no abuse that's crossing the line. This is somehow considered a "family fun" thing to do.

Pigs are reused again and again, even if they are bleeding. Their suffering is mocked throughout the day and evening rounds of pig assaulting.

There is no excuse for this type of treatment of any sentient individuals.
