It's been a long 7 years without New Yorks's brightest star and he was welcomed home like a true King. Quavo and Bobby Shmurda had begun a friendship before he even saw a jail. Prior to his arrest, Shmurda and Migos were working on a joint mixtape titled Shmigo Gang. Quavo then teased another collaboration in the stash at the end of 2019 on Twitter saying:

“Just talked Bobby Shmurda lil bro in great spirits bout to touch turf soon!! Shmigo alert”

Of course, what is a welcome home from prison better than a nice home-cooked meal? And not just any home-cooked meal, a home cooked meal from mom. His mother posted a video of the giant pot of food bobby was gonna receive upon his arrival and it was 50lbs of oxtail. A meal fit for a Jamaican king.

He also received some flowers early for his work prior to his arrest. All of his musical accomplishments were certified that day, Hot Ni**a 5x platinum, Bobby Bi*ch platinum, Computers with Rowdy, and Shmurda She Wrote both went gold. I'm actually shocked Hot Ni**a isn’t diamond by now.

More growth would be found on his Instagram, which went from 900k followers the day before to 3.2 Million followers today and still rising no doubt. Of course, there were some special welcome home messages, like the playoff-bound New York Knicks who laid out a banner for Bobby’s return. Even City of Toronto Councillor Norm Kelly, who hasn’t tweeted in 2 years, made his triumphant return to Twitter with a

“Welcome Home Bobby”

The day wouldn’t be complete without a classic video of Bobby rapping along to some music while his friends pull him around the room. It’s almost tradition at this point. He was also seen linking up with his brother in arms Rowdy Rebel, with a fresh glow in the dark Dior hoodie and stacks of money at their feet. I can’t imagine being in the bin talking about moments like this and actually being able to come out and see them come to fruition. Welcome, Home Bobby.
