Set to release this summer, Space Jam director Malcom D Lee has already promised to tone down the 'very sexualized' Lola Bunny to make her 'strong'
Lee had said he was surprised at how “not politically correct” the character’s original design was. This is a kids’ movie, why is she in a crop top? It just felt unnecessary, but at the same time there’s a long history of that in cartoons. Guys if you’ve been following along the cancellations of animated characters you’re going to wanna see how this plays out.

With Dr. Seuss and Pepe Le Pew already getting canceled in 2021 Malcolm Lee wanted to get on the right side of history for the new Space Jam: A New Legacy. Speaking to press, Lee said he was caught off guard by the "very sexualized" depiction of Lola Bunny. So he and the crew behind the film decided to "rework" her appearance.

"This is 2021," Lee said. "It's important to reflect the authenticity of strong, capable female characters."

In the original movie, Lola is called hot by Tweety and doll by Bugs and a number of the Monstars. This also came after it was reported that Pepe Le Pew would not be making an appearance in the second film because of his allegations of adding to rape culture.
