His first real lesson in life, which came at the age of 11, that would go on to influence his personality and music was losing his father to cancer. He was expelled from high school for threatening to cause harm to his principal. He attended film school but dropped out, and attempted to join the Navy but his criminal record holding him back – that’s when he decided to take his little $500 and move to New York to focus on a career in music.
