Quickly becoming one of the most talked-about and prominent female rappers in the game right now - most recently, Saweetie’s single ‘Tap In’ is her second hit to make it in the top 10 on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip Hop Songs after last summer’s banger (and may I add, quite a popular TikTok track) ‘My Type’ which peaked at number 21 on the Billboard Hot 100 while selling over two million copies in the US + spawning a remix with Jhene Aiko and City Girls a couple months after it’s the initial release. The song that put her on the map though was 2017’s ‘Icy Girl’ which had everyone wanting to know WHO that girl IS - so much so that Warner Records (home to Brandy, Ciara, Dua Lipa, and more) reached out to sign her. Not only DID they sign her in 2018, but they also offered to launch her ICY label imprint in association with Warner and Artistry which means that she would also earn even MORE money from her music sales.
