We already have a Malacasa dining wear set, which I like because of the elegant design, functionality and durability. Nothing has chipped, cracked or broken yet after several months of us. Hopefully the same will be true of this new baking dish set.

The set arrived very securely packaged in a heavy duty cardboard box with the dishes individually protected inside with cardboard and polystyrene packing. Everything arrived in good order and chip free.

The set consists of four rectangular Porcelain baking dishes, in sizes 9", 11", 12", and 13.3". My set is blue but the same design is available in White, Red, Orange and Green. The set is cream coloured inside, and blue on the outside with textured stripes and handles on both sides. The dishes are reassuringly heavy and substantial with the smallest weighing in at 640g and the biggest at just over 2 Kg. This feels like a proper old-fashioned baking ware set that your granny used to use.

As you would expect the set is fully oven safe and is also freezer, dishwasher and microwave safe. I found cleaning them after use to be no problem with most cooking residue removed just by rinsing and any burned on material with a nylon or fibre pan scourer.

The set is very attractively designed in pleasing pastel colours with large handles on either end. The set is good looking enough to use as a serving dish on the table when not used for cooking.

Priced at £36.54 before discounts - yes, there are always discounts, - these would make a welcome addition to a traditional or even to a modern kitchen.
