How to crochet (1) - chains and single crochet

Actually today I wanted to publish the pattern for a pot holder or hotpad that I promised a friend, but there are many that do not know how to crochet and therefore the “how to crochet” series needs to be started before that, so that anyone can follow the instructions. Here we go :-)
