March 1, 2023 - Old Green Eyes of Chickamauga Battlefield

It is said that there is an ancient entity or creature that roamed the bloody Civil War battlefield at Chickamauga in northwest Georgia, that locals named "Old Green Eyes." It was seen among the dead on the battlefield, wandering from body to body. Some say it was the spirit of a fallen soldier who lost his head in battle, while others say it could be a Sasquatch or even a witch. Native American legend says it is an ancient creature, with green eyes, long hair and sharp fangs, that has wandered the area pre-dating the Civil War.

Regardless, over 34,000 soldiers lost their lives on this site over the course of a three-day battle in 1863 and the land is saturated in blood and the suffering of many men. Chickamauga is the Native American word for "River of Death," and that title describes it's history well. The area is full of orbs, ghostly cannons, soldiers yelling and moaning, suicides, and creepy fog that rolls through the field with something very sinister lurking in its cover.
