Male prostitutes are just as susceptible to criminal exploitation as their female counterparts, as evidenced by the tragic experiences of several men who encountered Robert Lee Bennett Jr. in Atlanta and Tampa. Bennett's modus operandi involved offering young male hustlers vodka in exchange for participation in a fake research study. However, the vodka was spiked and the victims would wake up handcuffed and burned, sometimes even on their genitals. In some cases, Bennett even attempted to set his victims' entire bodies on fire while they were still conscious.
