Before James Avery would take on the role of Uncle Phil for 6 season from 1990 to 1996. Before the Cast of The Fresh Prince would react in memoriam to a highlight reel of Uncle Phils Best Moments. Before James Avery would pass away on New Years Eve in 2013 at the age of 68 during open heart surgery. I think I can speak for all of us when I say James Avery aka Uncle Phil had a huge impact on all of us. With the internet, everything old is becoming new again and James has recently been getting the love and recognition he deserves. The man was even mentioned in J. Coles hit song No Role Modelz where Cole mentions Uncle Phil as his father figure growing and the only father he knew. If you clicked on this video you likely wanna know a little bit more about the man who was ranked as one of the worlds greatest TV dads from his work on The Fresh Prince but he was also a super successful voice actor and was the voice of Shredder in The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for seven years.
