In 1947, the US Navy expedition led by Richard E. Byrd, sent to the shores of Antarctica, unexpectedly curtailed its activities, and hastily left the waters of this continent. It was more like a stampede... What scared the "brave" Americans so much? According to the expedition members, they were attacked by unknown disk-shaped aircraft that emerged from the water, demonstrating incredible speeds and shooting strange light beams of an unknown nature, burning everything in their path.
Even earlier, in the summer of 1945, two German submarines entered the Argentine port of Mar del Plata and surrendered to the authorities. According to their captains, they belonged to the so-called "Fuhrer's Convoy" and repeatedly made passages under the ice of Antarctica.
Did the German submariners say something that prompted the Americans to urgently equip such a huge expedition? And who drove them from the icy continent?
