Constipation can be an uncomfortable and irritating problem for many people, but yoga can help alleviate this problem in a natural way. There are some yoga postures that can help improve intestinal transit and relieve constipation.
Uttanasana (Forward Bend Pose): This pose helps to stimulate the digestive system, improving blood flow to the abdominal region and strengthening the muscles of the bowel. To do this pose, stand with your feet together and then bend your body forward, trying to touch your hands to the floor. Hold the pose for a few minutes while breathing deeply.
Malasana (Squat Pose): This pose helps stimulate the digestive system and can help relieve constipation. To do this pose, stand with your feet hip-width apart and squat down, keeping your heels on the floor and your hands together in front of your heart. Hold the pose for a few minutes while breathing deeply.
