Watch Display Stand | How to Build

Been throwing down my Every Day Carry onto the dresser for years, each morning I throw stuff off the dresser trying to pick it up in the dark! Not anymore, this DIY build will give you a catch all for your EDC and display your collection of watches!

I have been collecting a few watches over the years and wanted to get them out of a drawer, so I could see them and to prevent them from getting scratched up. This was a perfect project to incorporate an EDC catch all at the same time! This has a space for a wallet, knives, chap stick, rings, tie clips and more. Displayed above the pocket dump area you have curved arms to holed up to 8 watches in a watch showcase pattern

Made this EDC rack from cherry so that it matches our recent king bed build. You can see that here if you missed it (https://youtu.be/P_ppg9CiQeU). Used rough cherry as it is less expensive compared to S4S stock and I have the machines to dress it down to the 1/2" thickness I was after. After getting the parts cutout it was a lot of sanding, gluing, sanding again and gluing again to get the pieces assembled correctly. Finished with 3x coats of Watco lacquer and it was ready for use!
