I never built anything before this! My First Woodworking Project as DIYTyler, Build a Toddler Bed!

A look back at how the first project I ever made as DIYTyler is holding up. Do we even have that project anymore, is it used? I build a few things before this project back in the day with my dad but no furniture. This was a build that was completed before I ever filmed anything for this YouTube channel.

As our family started to grow we needed some more furniture and for the price that stores were asking for items that I knew would not hold up. I started to investigate if a toddler bed was something that I could build. "I just need this one tool and I will be able to make this!" Famous last words...look where we are now.

So with a Kreg R3, a Sliding Kobalt Miter Saw, drill and sander I made this toddler bed for our eldest and we are still using it to this day, almost 9 years later. It is WAY overbuilt with 1x3 and 2x6s but it was the material I was able to work with at the time and, even though it's difficult to move around, the kids bed will last forever!
