COPPA COMPLIANCE TIPS

In this exciting video, Attorney Steve® Intellectual property lawyer discusses COPPA compliance for YouTube creators. To ensure you do not get de-platformed, make sure you are setting your videos to indicate whether or not your video (or your channel in general) is child-directed to kids under 13. If so, you have to disclose this and comply with COPPA. This generally means you need to provide notice of your privacy practices and not collect or share kids' information unless their parents OPT IN!. Failure to comply can lead to COPPA fines, violations, and lawsuits from state attorney generals, such as in California.
