Space Needle sues Seattle Coffee Shop, things are brewing?

In this episode of Court Shorts, Attorney Steve discusses a trademark infringement case brewing in Seattle Federal District court. I doubt the case will be moving forward to a jury trial, but it does illustrate the importance of checking your trademarks before launching your logo, brand, marketing, advertising materials, and your merch. As you can see, it looks to me like there may be an expensive re-branding in the coffee shops' future. At least it looks like they are trying to amicably resolve this, and brand owners will protect their brands (so if you get a legal demand letter from an IP or trademark law firm you should think twice before ignoring it).
