MALIBU MEDIA LITIGATION UPDATES

July 2022 Torrent Updates: We have some "word on the street" that Malibu Media may be firing up the copyright engines after a two-year absence from pursuing copyright infringement cases against those who file-share their x-art pornography through BitTorrent.

Prolific copyright infringement filer Malibu Media seeks to dismiss a claim against a tech-savvy Defendant and also seeks to dismiss their counterclaim Defendant filed for abuse of process. The Defendant is opposing this in an interesting case out of federal court in New Jersey.

We will keep an eye on this case and let you know how it goes. Malibu claims it would not be a good business decision to pursue the case because the IT-savvy Defendant may know how to prevent infringement detection.
