ANTI-SLAPP LAW [COMMERCIAL SPEECH EXCEPTION]

This is a complicated exception to California's anti-SLAPP law. You really have to dig down to make sense of it, but once you do, it becomes abundantly clear. Competitors are not given as much leeway to start turf wars and destroy their competitors under the guise of the "first amendment." Let's get real.

Under California anti-SLAPP (lawsuits against public participation) law communications, advertisements, and "speech" (statements and conduct) about your competitor's business or unlawfully violating a competitor's right of publicity may not give you all the protection you were hoping for.
