Property management software creates trust fund ALERT

Attorney Steve, the Real Estate Lawyer, one trust fund accounting problems a California property manager might have due to property management software that it uses. The problem occurs when tenant funds for their monthly payment is collected by the software company first and then sent to the broker's client trust fund. This "middleman" creates a problem where trust funds (which belong to the property owner) are in the hands of a third party when it should be in the hands of a broker.
