Two-Year-Old Boy Abandoned At The Border

A migrant woman found a 2-year-old boy unaccompanied at the U.S.-Mexico border, according to our recent encounter. The boy was wearing a makeshift ID with a Louisiana address on it. A journalist came across the woman and the boy with a group of Chinese nationals who had just crossed the border illegally into Texas.

The woman informed the journalists that she found the boy alone while she was about to cross the river. The little boy had no one to take care of him, and the woman could not leave him behind. Although the boy had an address on his tag in the United States, it is common for unaccompanied minors to be abandoned at the border.

The journalists also observed more Chinese nationals surrendering to Border Patrol and Texas DPS agents, with men comprising the majority of those crossing. The situation at the border remains a complex and pressing issue.
