Rep. Patricia Morgan Introduces H5685 Requiring Solar Panels And Wind Turbines Be Manufactured Using Renewable Energy Sources

Rep. Patricia Morgan introduces H5685 which would require green energy manufacturing using renewable energy sources for the production of solar panels and wind turbines purchased for use in Rhode Island.

Currently, China manufactures solar panels which require high degrees of heat to temper them in coal fired plants.

The US produces just 6% of solar panels while purchasing the balance overseas and must be created, manufactured and transported by fossil fuel sources unlike the intent of green energy policies in the US.

This bill would ensure any materials in the manufacture of solar panels or wind turbines use the green energy polices intended to eliminate fossil fuel use in Rhode Island.
