For those of you who don't know here is the official definition from Urban dictionary

Simp
“Someone who does way too much for a person they like.”

While this is commonly used as an insult or a negative term, and certainly there is a context where that might be true, Mark talks about his relationship with Kendra and how leading and providing for her is what gives him the greatest feeling of accomplishment and purpose.

This brings about the question.

What is wrong with being everything to someone you love?

Not in the overbearing overcompensating sense of everything...

In the sense of being everything to the one you love, to provide for them the safety, security, and peace that they and you can flourish in.
