Who really owns the United States?

28% of the nation's land mass is owned by the federal government.
Another 27% is owned by state governments.
Almost 2% is owned by foreign powers.
Add that all up and 57% of US land is not owned by citizens, and that doesn't account for what county and local governments own.
Our federal government should only own military bases, post offices, and the 5 miles square District of Columbia defined in the Constitution.
The small, landless, limited federal government our founders spelled out in the Constitution is dead.
