God forgives an outsider, and Jesus is her descendant.

God was gracious to an outsider, while he judged his own people harshly. Rahab was obedient to God while Achan was deceptive. God saves Rahab, and she became part of his chosen people. Rahab's act of obedience and faith ultimately becomes part of God's overarching plan of redemption, because Jesus is a descendant of Rahab.
