In 2018, Yungeen Ace had one of the hardest years that anyone can possibly experience in life. I can’t even begin to imagine what he went through and continues to go through. He lost 2 of his friends and his little brother in a drive by shooting where he was also hit with 8 bullets, but was the only person to survive. On top of that, he went to jail after violating his probation. And all of this while dealing with the newfound stresses and survivors guilt of becoming a successful rapper without the people who he started with. And it wasn’t just last year that was tough for Ace. Growing up in Jacksonville Florida, he came from nothing. He had a huge family and his mother struggled to support her 8 children. Going through evictions, poverty and not seeing much light at the end of the tunnel, music was the only thing that gave Ace an ounce of hope and on beats was the only place where he felt comfortable enough to speak about his pain. This is gonna be a heavy one. But through all of that, Ace finds a way to stay positive and continues to strive for more out of life. So before starting the video, I just want to say that our prayers and well wishes go out to Ace and the families of all of those affected in the recent shooting.
