After exposing rats to commercially available white LEDs and four kinds of blue LEDs, they examined the animals’ retinas. They discovered that the lights caused oxidative damage,  injury and cell death to the retinal cells and photoreceptor cells.

Toxins: Although LED lights do not contain mercury, they do contain lead, arsenic and a number of other toxins and heavy metals.
