Joe Biden is the 46th President of the United States. He was born on November 20, 1942, in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Biden attended the University of Delaware, where he received a bachelor's degree in 1965, and Syracuse Law School, where he earned a law degree in 1968. He was first elected to the U.S. Senate from Delaware in 1972 and served there for 36 years, becoming one of the longest-serving senators in U.S. history.

During his time in the Senate, Biden served as the chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee and played a key role in shaping U.S. foreign policy, particularly in the areas of arms control and human rights. In 2020, Joe Biden ran for President of the United States and defeated incumbent President Donald Trump in a closely contested election. He was inaugurated as President on January 20, 2021. As President, Biden has focused on a range of issues, including addressing the COVID-19 pandemic, revitalizing the economy, advancing racial equity, tackling climate change, and improving U.S. infrastructure.
