2023_03_26_AM_Three Men on Calvary

Luke 23:39-44 tells of three men crucified on Calvary Hill: two thieves, and our Savior. Pastor Mike and Anita Shoffner set the tone for this important message of this season of Lent and Easter.

Salvation can be a lengthy 'process', or it can be 'instantaneous' - depending on God's purpose. In this case it was the latter, as the second thief simply asked that Jesus remember him (v42).

God's purpose here was to demonstrate his Love (irrespective of persons), Grace (getting what we do not deserve) and Mercy (not getting what we do deserve). Jesus has the Power if we sincerely believe on Him in our heart .. regardless of 'precondition' or 'qualification'.

'Just as I am' is how we come to the altar and humbly approach the Cross.
