Jared Goff's family has a storied athletic history. While he would eventually go on to be a quarterback for the Los Angeles Rams, his father Jerry took a different road. If you're familiar with Major League Baseball, John might be a familiar face. Jerry Goff spent six years as a catcher for teams like the Montreal Expos, Pittsburgh Pirates and Houston Astros. While the baseball diamond is a vastly different setting from the gridirons of the NFL, you can say that John passed on the sports gene to young Jared. Drafted in 2016 to the recently relocated Rams, Jared was thrusted into the wild world of NFL football. Who knew the former ball boy at ten years old would be facing off against Tom Brady's Patriots for Super Bowl 53.
