Fame has always come with its fair share of downsides. But in the age of Sound Cloud rap, Twittter rants and IG live, just about every new rapper in the game has to deal with more controversy and backlash than ever before. With social media, artists are able to connect with their fans instantly and without a filter. That can be a very good thing, but it also means that they're more likely to accidentally say something that a publicist probably would've shut down! Other artists have gone the other way, let's call it the tr3y way... and intentionally invited hate and backlash to help grow their brand.
