This is the 15th and 19th Latvian Grenadier Legions of the SS, who boldly engaged in The Siege of Leningrad and in the Courland Pocket and were, together with the mythical SS Charlemagne and others, one of the last to surrender.
Its veterans are considered heroes by their people, a clear example of a country which actually honors the men who fought and died for true Freedom.
